Charles Babbage Born on December 26, 1791 London, United Kingdom, Charles Babbage is considered the father of computer science. He studied mathamatics at the University of Cambridge and went on to become an English polymath, inventor and mechanical engineer. He built the first automatic digital computer and created the Analytical engine wich became ran a series of calculations. The Analytical engine was the very first computer program. He went on to design one of the first advanced calculators with data storage but didn't have the funds to build it.
