Elizabeth J. Feinler Born on March 2, 1931, Elizabeth J. Feinler played a major role in building the internet that we know today. She got her B.S. in chemistry from West Liberty University but went on to create the APERNET and manage DDN. Her efforts helped shape the internet we use today. Elizabeth Feinler is also the founding member of IETF and the contractor for NASA Ames Research Center. She also coined ".com, .edu, .gov, .mil, .org, and .net" with her team. Moreover, in 2000 she was inducted in the SRI Alumni Hall of fame. 12 years later Feinler was inducted in the Internet Society Internet Hall of Fame.
